Guests were treated to a live performance as Alec spray painted 300 white rubber straps for the upcoming release of his limited edition Connected Modular 45. The specialized dial will feature Alec Monopoly’s signature graffiti and will be presented in special packaging. The piece will be available for pre-order on tagheuer.com later this month.

On Thursday, Alec Monopoly staged an art takeover of the Fontainebleau Hotel, scaling a 40 foot wall on the front of the building to create a one-of-a-kind art installation bearing the TAG Heuer logo and Alec’s namesake character. Alec Monopoly exhibits a special fearlessness in pursuit of creativity, and embraced the challenge to not crack under pressure while painting despite the terrifying height of the installation. Hotel guests can view another special installation on the windows overlooking the pool and rooms at the Fontainebleau, along with a special sculpture commissioned for the occasion. Alec’s artwork, overlooking the iconic South Beach destination Collins Avenue, was displayed through the end of Art Basel Miami.

TAG Heuer is among the world’s top luxury watch brands, offering a strong history of innovation, deep relations with sports time and auto racing, and more recently, a series of revolutionary developments in the sphere of ultra-fast mechanical chronographs, an innovative tourbillon watch priced under $20,000, along with the launch of a luxury smartwatch. Here are 10 additional things you should know about TAG Heuer.Heuer Watch Company was founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer. His first watchmaking workshop was situated in St-Imier, in the Swiss Jura area. The business soon built a reputation for quality workmanship and precision timekeeping. That, coupled with a series of technical innovations dating to the 1880s, directed the company to be an expert in the subject of timing sporting events. In 1933, the brand launched the Autavia, the first dashboard stopwatch for race cars. Other more famous developments get individual attention below. The affinity with precision timekeeping in sports, and with automobile racing particularly, continues to this day.In 1985, Heuer was obtained by TAG Group (Holdings) S.A. TAG is an abbreviation for Approaches d’Avant Garde. TAG Group joined the TAG and Heuer brands to produce the TAG Heuer firm we know today. Back in the days when great technology trumped marketing issues, movement designers sought to develop calibers with fewer moving parts, to make them more reliable and easier to service. In 1887, Edouard Heuer developed and developed the oscillating pinion, which simplified the chronograph. This structure is still employed by major movement producers today.
